FAQ: Does the safety mat use automatic reset or manual reset?
A: The safety mat applies pressure to the surface and then triggers a signal to control the device to stop working. If someone steps on the mat, the machine will stop. If a person walks on the mat, the pressure will be sometimes light and sometimes heavy. It may cause the device to disconnect when it starts. Therefore, it is recommended to use manual reset to meet safety standards.
When the PLC has a reset function, the safety relay of the safety mat uses automatic reset and the reset function is implemented by the PLC. When there is no PLC or other reset function. The safety relay must use the manual reset function (X1 is connected to the reset switch and the code is turned to M)
